Massimiliana Spinola understood that the winery could become her next “art work”. The conversion to biodynamic agriculture felt like a mandatory step, after her arrival. Two people have been most influential: Bonifacio Spinola, a relative from the family in Rome, like a brother to her and her associate, and Miri Velli, a strict fair counsellor who runs the cellar and the vineyards.

The story of a family with the passion and dedication to create great wines of an area unique in the world. Cascina Amalia is located in Monforte d’Alba, one of the 11 municipalities in Piedmont where Barolo wine is made. Cascina Amalia was established in 2003, when the Boffa family fell in love with an early 20th century farmhouse with the vineyards around it.

SILVIO CARTA
SARDINIA, ORISTANO
At the beginning of the '50s Silvio Carta founded the company and started the vinification and refining of Vernaccia, a wine that has a noble tradition and is an authentic jewel of the Sardinian oenology. Within a few years, the company had conquered the hearts of the public beyond regional borders thanks to a broad range of excellent wine and liquors.

TORRE DEGLI ALBERI

The Torre degli Alberi Vineyard is located in the micro region of Oltrepo’ Pavese in South West Lombardy on a steep slope facing South/ Southwest to perfectly capture the light. It is especially dedicated to growing only Pinot Noir grapes and it produces 4 types of sparkling Metodo Classico Pinot Noir, including the very local Cruasé. Sparkling Pinot Noir at its finest.

Several years ago, winemakers Giuseppe and Raffaella believed in the idea of producing an authentic, genuine, artisan Lambrusco in the beautiful province of Mantova, in the South Eastern part of Lombardy. Today their dream has become their life. They are often asked why they produce Lambrusco and they always answer with “because it makes them happy”.

Castelvetro di Modena is a small medieval gem of a village around Modena which we extensively toured in search of something special. The vineyards are planted mainly with Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro and Pignoletto (Grechetto Gentile), two native grape varieties which are the heart and soul of Emilia tradition. SO Rosè offers the 2 grapes in a unique blend.

PATRUNO’s farm dates back to the 19th century and originates from a family’s passion for the Apulia territory. Driven by this love for his grandparents’ farm, Paolo Patruno gave up his medical career to take care of the land that once provided for his family. The Patruno vineyards work with full respect for nature avoiding the use of chemical treatments.

This is a small, family-run estate situated in Treiso, a small town 5km from Alba. On land surrounding the winery, the vineyards fall largely within the important Barbaresco sub-zones of Valeirano and Rombone. The average age of the vines is around 40 years. Exceptions to the above are the Sauvignon and Merlot beautiful vineyards recently acquired.

The story begins on the vine-covered hills of Northern Piedmont, among the rows of Nebbiolo, where the Fabris family gathers for the grape harvest. Grandfather used to zealously take care of the wine process, leaving his grandchildren to enjoy pressing the grapes. These happy memories still motivate the Fabris family to produce great red wines.

VILLA SIMONE, MONTE PORZIO CATONE
In the early 1980s, Piero Costantini purchased the vineyards that once belonged to Cardinal Pallotta in the municipality of Monteporzio Catone, in the heart of the Frascati winemaking tradition, with the aim of producing a highly prestigious wine capable of competing with the greatest winemaking qualities of the north. The path undertaken was long and difficult, yet we committed to honour and produce a high quality Frascati.

GRACCIANO DELLA SETA

The Gracciano Estate is one of the oldest wineries in the Montepulciano, Siena area. The cellars of the Gracciano Villa still contain several bottles of wine from exceptional vintage years. Today, the winery covers roughly 70 hectares of which 20 are vineyards. The vines grow on the clay and silty soil of the local hills, one of the oldest and prestigious crus of Montepulciano.

Nino Pupillo dedicated more than 20 years to giving new life to wine production in the Targia area. Our mission is to revitalise white Moscato of Siracusa using innovative environmental sustainability.

The Azienda Agricola Montioni was born in 1978 in Umbria, a land full of rural life and rich in unspoiled landscapes. Our vineyards are located in a small hamlet of Montefalco, called Pietrauta. The type of soil present and the excellent sun exposure make it an optimal area for the cultivation of a great grape quality, perfect for the production of an extremely valuable wine.

The ability to join forces in view of important challenges has made the people of Friuli a role model for others. And this is how Cantina Rauscedo was founded: in 1951 all the families and people of Rauscedo joined forces to create a cooperative whose members would bring their grapes to after growing them within the territory.

UMBRIA, ORVIETO
Orvieto is a city full of secrets and one of the few that had the honor of giving its name to its wine. Settled on a tuff cliff, 325 m above sea level, overlooking the valley below created by the eruptive action of the Vulsini volcano, the Etruscan were the first to vinify inside the tuff caves taking advantage of humidity and constant temperature. Aristotle called Orvieto the city where wine flows.

The adventure started at the end of the 19th century, when a young Gualtiero Nunzi moved to Florence from the Tuscan countryside to buy his first vineyard in Mercatale Val di Pesa, in the heart of the Chianti Classico area. Today the vineyards, the olive groves and the forests of Villa Barberino Nunzi Conti are within the most fascinating area of the Chianti Classico.
